Animations

During my studies at PXL-MAD, I gradually specialized in motion design. This allowed me to further explore and deepen my long-standing fascination with animation for film. I’ve learned to work with the Adobe suite — including Adobe Animate, After Effects, and Premiere Pro — as well as the 3D software Blender.

In my animation work, I always aim to use these tools in an innovative way to achieve the best possible result. Beyond the technical skills, I’ve also gained a strong understanding of the animation workflow, from conceptual sketches and styleframes to storyboarding, as well as world and character design.”

versgeperst

“Versgeperst was a three-week school project in collaboration with a music event, where we created a trailer for a vinyl release that visually and sonically reflected its theme. Using a 2.5D animation style with Blender and Adobe Animate, we brought an imaginary world to life, inspired by the record’s artwork and music.”

kerstkaart

Together with a classmate (Koisart), I created the official Christmas animation for PXL University, featuring a festive adventure where Christmas embarks on a quest to retrieve the iconic PXL-burger from a frozen temple. Blending humor, action, and holiday cheer, the short film playfully celebrates the university’s unique culture.

de tolk van java

For a school assignment, I designed a title sequence for De tolk van Java by Alfred Birney, focusing on themes of memory, history, and personal discovery. Inspired by the book’s fragmented narrative, I used aged textures, muted colors, and floating motion to reflect its emotional depth and layered storytelling.
