Versgeperst
“Versgeperst” was a three-week school project in collaboration with a music event. We were tasked with creating a trailer for the vinyl record that would be sold at the event.
The concept was based on the idea that music can transport you to an imaginary world — a place to escape from everyday problems. In the trailer, we guide the viewer into this world and show how we imagined it.
The visual atmosphere was inspired by the color palette of the vinyl cover we received beforehand, creating a strong visual connection between the trailer and the physical record. The soundtrack featured music by the artists on the vinyl, adding an authentic layer to the experience.
The project ran over the course of a month, during which I experimented with a 2.5D animation style. I used Blender for the 3D elements and combined it with Adobe Animate for the 2D animation, allowing me to explore the dynamic relationship between depth and flat design.”
